but today is 10 months death day for our pal djb.

So like with columbine, they linked those fella’s aggression with their musical taste. Mr. Manson, a nice young man, getting blamed by the media, and you know all those middle-upper class middle aged Christian mothers hold this grudge against him now and wont have their sons/daughters listening to that devil music, and thats not fair at all. I understand how they can link aggressive people to his music, or really in any type of ‘metal’ music. But when has middle-classed Christian mom been molested and beat up and talked down to and poor with an alcoholic father? better that Marylin became a singer rather than a killer and better that her children listen to that music and get their aggression out that way, rather than taking their aggression out in some physical way. When you’re sad, you listen to sad music typically, when you’re happy you listen to happy music. When your aggressive, you listen to aggressive music, the music doesn’t transform you into something you’re not.

The one ‘good’ thing about this shooting is, i hear the shooter listened to guns and roses, now finally, the media can blame this shitty band and then maybe people will start realizing how sucky they are. I would not like to be taken to the paradise city, thanks anyway axel (who mysteriously turned black).

and of course, please understand my sarcasm, there isn’t one good thing about a shooting or death of an innocent person(s).

Pickathon 2007

Dont know if anybody has even heard of pickathon, but apparently this is their 5th year and it so happens to be in Boring, Oregon aka happy valley. The actual town is called Boring… not trying to be funny like all those people who put Deadford, Boregon as their hometown on their myspace.  But two of my favorite artists will be their Avett Brothers and Langhorne Slim.

It’s a three day fest of some folk/bluegrass music and i got two tickets and two nights of camping for just under $200. Just some more tickets to add to the collection.

Anybody see the new Bjork cover? Pitchfork had a little story on it. My opinions on the other end…i’ll meet you there….

And pitchfork, once again, decided to go way out of their way to review the new Timbaland cd. When they are involved in mainly “indie” music, why do they write stories and review mainstream hip hop cd’s, I would like to see the viewers who go on this website looking for hip hop news, all 5 people.

I bought some Orchids yesterday.and i pet the sharks at ocean world last weekend.

Man man is playing in eugene tonight for anybody who lives over there. you best go see them while they are young. i hear they are touring with modest mouse.
