soul-mate

January 30, 2008

Today I awoke at about 8:30 for whatever reasons. First thing I do is lean over out of bed and refresh the RCC website which read ‘January 30th 2008 All campuses are closed’. I laid back down and slept til 12:00. I awoke again and let whiny cry-baby Elvis (my dog) in from outside and looked upon my myspace. A comment from David Glimpse read:

” there’s so many chicks on match dot com it’s like a grocery store of hottness and they all love using their webcams”

So I thought I might as well try it out. Sure i got homework to do, but like D.G always says ‘you only live once’.

Made some tea first of all

Created my account which took like 30 seconds.

I then started searching. I put in a women between the ages of 18-22 who lives within 50 miles outside of medford and two restrictions: non smoker and non drinker.

One result

It had an option to send her a ‘wink’ FOR FREE!!I chose not to…

So I increased the range to 2000 miles from medford and came up with about 4 pages of girls. Not that many considering. I browsed through and filtered out all the girls over 150 pounds and filtered out the goth girls and the ditzy girls. Came out with two girls who ironically both had pictures with their cats. I hate cats. Match.com was a complete failure.

I then deleted my account which took longer to do than to register. I’ll stick with meeting girls like an early 90’s young man, back when aol 2.0 took 20 minutes to get started.

Olden days

January 30, 2008

So i found this cd-r with pictures from 2005-06. This was when i was dating Brittany. Which was kind of funny cause i forgot about most of that relationship. I chuckled a good amount. I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing a picture i thought was pretty comical.

Self Timer Family Portrait. Thats our baby we had when we were 15. I like her to dress up real nice and i represent the 3-3 Scotty Pippen!

She did have nice assets ;)   And i hope she is doing well. That would be silly if she was reading this. But just in case you are, i think you owe me at least a cyber hand-slap.

other things

January 29, 2008

First of all i’ll appologize to people looking for a blog that goes somewhere and has meaning. This is just a blog about my experiences in Portland.

Well I’m back from Portland town. Unfortunately.

I saw Ryan Adams for the first time. It’s been on my list of people to see before i die for quite some time. It was pretty surreal to actually see him in person and hear his voice in person. Defiantly has his act together this year. He’s Sober. The Cardinals sound well polished. He even played until the venue closed and yelled at a couple overly-enthusiastic fans, suggesting that they leave. He made a comment about this fellow sitting front row with his notebook taking notes, asked him if he was going to go home and ‘bash him (ryan) on his Blog’. But he also threw out plenty individual compliments to the crowd. If there was two things i learned about Ryan that night it would be that he likes ‘hot tea’ and ‘x-men nintendo games’

Got to stay at Gabe Dunn’s house for Friday night. He broke a plate and we ate frozen pizza, burritos, potato wedges and egg rolls.

Saturday I got to hang out with Jesse B. for awhile. It’s good to know that he’s still alive. He gave me a ride downtown to meet up with that dirty Silke girl. (she’s actually relatively clean)But among other events we went and saw Atonment. Which we both agreed was a well made movie. Nice cinematography, good story, great acting. And we also agreed that we could live without the modern day ending. You know, where the movie is set in say the 1940’s and they randomly go ahead to modern day and have the characters as old people telling the story (like in titanic). I informed the man waiting outside that the movie was worth his time and money, so i suggest it to you as well.

We ate at a mexican place similar to senor sams on 23rd with this stoopid girl (she’s actually not stoopid at all). I s’pouse the highlight of their dinner evening was the lowpoint in my dinner evening. I reckon I deserved it. I grabbed my fork and got a big piece of my burrito that i was done eating and i also got a hold of my napkin on the fork, and I reached my fork over to Silke’s face “here try this” when the burrito falls from my fork and onto my cellphone thats sitting on the table. i lifted it up only to find a mountain of beans laying on top. Worst day of my life. So, Gabe decided to have a phat party at his house when I got back. Which was unfortunate seeing as how i wanted to go to sleep within the next couple hours. luckily Silke saved my behind and took me in. I am much obliged.

Sunday was a long day. Silke and myself went downtown on Burnside at around noon or so. We went to Powell’s book store and I got to see the Elliott Smith art exhibit by Autumn De Wilde. We went to Everyday Music and Whole Foods and went searching for the sun cause it was cold. Found the sun eventually but it didnt warm us up much, so we went to The noodle company and ate. It was my first experience there, and i was impressed. I had mac & cheese. Silke had something gross with tofu. 5:20 eventually came around, and so we made our way to the Crystal ballroom where Sassparilla jug band was to be playing at 5:30, and then Langhorne Slim at 7:00. I looked into the bar downstairs through the window, and noticed Langhorne walking around. I got real excited. We went upstairs for a little while, then came back outside, we walked around the corner of the ballroom and there he was, mr. slim himself. Just hanging out without his posse. We shook hands and I asked him for a photo, he was very polite and accepted Silke took a picture then I walked away like a little girl who just met Hilary duff. He was probably more excited to see me though.
We watched Sassparilla and then watched langhorne, both were fun shows, couldn’t have asked for much else. I said farewell to Silke face and Kendra, mike and myself made our way home. Except I5 was frozen, so we didn’t make it. But i’m home now a day later than what was expected. Still alive , and only one cut on my ankle.

Here is my Flickr Portland Set. Please, feel free to comment the pictures.

Bryan Adams?

January 25, 2008

It gets real old when every time I mention Ryan Adams to somebody who doesn’t know him, they say “oh Bryan Adams?!” But it’s not sarcastic, it’s like they really believe I’m listening to Bryan Adams, and they just misheard me.One day i’ll be like “yeah, Bryan adams” then they’ll say “oh ok, i thought you said Ryan Adams lol”.

But in a couple hours I’ll be going to Portland, and  if you are interested in details, i posted a blog a couple days ago about it. I probably wont get too many chances to update, so don’t get your hopes  up for some phat blog posts until Monday.

I’ll miss the following people:

Sam gettin’ angry

Sam is a trouble maker and it probably stems from his verbally abusive and non-supportive relatives. Ever wonder what Sam was like as a child, lets watch!
