You’re beautiful baby, you’re the boss
April 29, 2008
We’ll it’s basically the 29th of April by now. A couple more hours. But we’ve (myself) have been waiting for this day because today Mr. Langhorne Slim releases his new cd. It’s been since 2005, my senior year that i’ve been hoping for this day. But he has finally settled on a record label, Kemado Records (dungen, Elefant) based right in new york town. Just fine. And has worked pretty fudgin’ hard to get to where he is at. I’m proud of him.

HS girlz
April 29, 2008
Phrases I find myself saying far too much when I see girls that I went to high school with .
- “she has gained a good amount of weight”
- “she seemed a lot cooler in high school”
- “ugh boots and sweat pants, looks like she’s given up hope”
- “wow, still wearing her south Medford hoodie”
- “pregnant already ? oops”
making a difference
April 28, 2008
Making a difference is what the folks who put out all those little flags in Ashland FAILED to do. It is a war, we already know people are dying. Nobody wants to be at war, it’s a pretty well understood fact. But all those flags do is make certain people feel like shit. It’s not making that war stop or is making the soldiers feel better. I think instead of the flags they should have been putting their effort into something more direct to the people the war is effecting. Writing the soldiers letters or raising money to send the soldiers something nice, or even better the Iraqi citizens. At least the soil will be aerated. great job. Now hire cheap immigrant labor to take those flags back out.
boring things

- Remember punk before emo-screamo? Back when they sang for a reason. Well, last year i sat through a lot of shit at warped tour so that i could see 1 band, Bad Religion. And it’s nice to hear that Mr. Graffin is getting recognized:
The Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard has gained considerable national attention in the past year for its unique approach to building a culture and community for the non-religious, and this April 26 it will give its highest honor, the “Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism,” to a unique figure: Dr. Greg Graffin, frontman of the influential punk rock band Bad Religion.
- Looks like those fellas behind that expelled movie are being sued.
-
- Thou shalt not incite the wrath of Yoko Ono and her lawyers. The folks behind anti-evolution film Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed are learning this the hard way, as they’re now the subject of a lawsuit filed by Ono and the sons of John Lennon– Julian and Sean– according to a Reuters report. -pitchforkmedia
In other news, sam reported on the 24th of april 2008, that he was having the best day ever. When in fact he wasn’t. His car broke down, and now he has to get rides in the back of his dads construction van. and also he got beat up at school by boomer marshall and his crew, then he wet his pants at work and then to top things off his parents threw away his half drank surge soda that he was saving for after school.
When suicide is the only option
April 25, 2008
- Pictures of you playing drinking games are not enjoyable. You guys accurately portray the college student stereotype. You’re only young once right? Well, just hope you don’t fuck up your future by ‘being young only once’
. - I’ve seen a lot of folks pictures on myspace, and i like to read the picture comments. And i noticed that people are far too lenient on the compliments. I don’t mean to sound like an A-hole, but American idol rejects have shown us that too much positive reinforcement leads to bad things. Espeically on girls pages, usually every single picture has somebody saying ‘you’re so beautiful’ or something to that effect.
- Today at work, i looked out the window a couple times, and i saw this old ‘hick’ looking guy (camo hat, hiking boots) riding a scraper bike
- Michael Malone told me to get the album Fresh by Sly & The family stone, and i’ve been enjoy it very much. Thanx
- If any girls need an escort, let me know. I’m always looking for some extra $. I clean up mediocorely (not a word, i know) .

- You know when multiple friends are like ‘yeah, i’ll call you in a bit’ . and then you decide to take a nap until someone calls you or texts you. and then almost 3 hours later and it’s 9:00, it never happens. Don’t say you’ll call if you don’t plan on doing it, Jesus fucking christ, it’s that easy.
- The fat free version of saltines are no good.
- Working at a 50’s diner. If I have to hear rock around the clock one more time!! (i’ll have to hear it tomorrow, and i’ll probalby sing it softly in my head)
- White city Goodwill opens up may 1st. Has the potential to be the best Goodwill ever.

bus drivers
April 15, 2008
Today I was walking on the street, and i was at a stop light waiting to cross the street. There was a bus from phoenix middle school, and i made eye contact with the bus driver. She was really pretty. I was weirded out slightly. I can’t even begin to count how many bus drivers i’ve been through, never were they attractive.
Now there was the one bus driver from high school who misheard my name as ‘Clyde’. I never corrected him. Some kid tried to rat on me, but i told the driver that he was a liar. chh! So when you are on Sam’s blog, and you see on his blogroll the name ‘Clyde’ and it links you to my page, thats the reasoning behind it. Sam and I rode the bus together for years in case you didn’t know. That was how our relationship started.
I think hipsters should start driving buses. Next post: Hipster bus drivers. (coming soon)
xo
i love you
