Wrong eyed Heyzues

October 30, 2008

I’m gonna watch this movie tonight called ‘ The Wrong Eyed Jesus’ . Its a movie by Jim White that surveys American life in the south. I’m really excited, mostly because in the trailer there is a shot of some belligerently drunk women ranting about Jesus and forgiveness and such.

Well, i know some people google image search my name and you come up with my myspace music page, and then this page, and then my IMDB page. I’m sorry i’ve never mentioned it before, but i was in a movie in 2004. It was called ‘Sexy Adventures of Van Helsing‘. I played Man #1. No big deal, just a small part to build my resume. But i did get to star along side actress Erika Smith II who you might remember from ‘Sex and Sushi” and also my favorite of hers ‘Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation‘ . Also Darian Caine was in the film, i got to film with her a bit too. She was in The Lord of the G-Strings: The Femaleship of the String’ , Kinky Kong and also Naughty Novelist where she plays herself. I am blessed to work along side such talents in the industry, and i hope The Real World gets my audition tape and picks me for the next season, which will take place in Crecent City, California.

So sam’s friend mitch comes over, brings all these chips and cookies and soda. I just get off work and walk in. I’ve been telling sam that we need to start eating healthy:

nothing

nothing terribly interesting to write about tonight. But for those who havn’t found those pictures on the right hand side, thats my flickr page. i’ll be posting more pictures on it once the month is over.In an age where we all call ourselves photographers, it only seems right for me to follow that lead. Might as well set up a myspace photography page too. Eric Loeffler Photography. But i wont actually do that.

The pictures over there are of my friend Abby. We are good friends.

So back in high school , i’m talking like freshman year, i was friends with this girl. We were really good friends, we might have tried dating, but it never really worked out. Oh well, we didn’t let that kill our friendship, i mean we had a lot in common and similar personalities. What i liked most about her was that she was bold like myself. Not scared of confrontation.

So after we stopped dating, we didn’t speak for awhile, did our own things, and she was more hurt than i was about it, and i felt completely terrible about it, but i couldn’t do anything, i couldn’t force out feelings that weren’t there.

Well, in the end we became friends again after I forced her to come talk to me so i could clear some things up and appologize. We actually became better friends and agreed that we will be nothing more than friends. So this is high school right, high school drama emerges. I get threats from people saying that i need to stop hanging out with her, and not for my benefit or for this girls benefit, but for THEIR OWN benefit. And this girl gets threats from her friends because she befriended me again.

Well, like your favorite m night shyamalan twist, this isn’t high school , this is current. My friend abby over there that i photographed, is getting grief for being my friend, and so am I.  Friends are nice to have. I have about four good ones and i cherish them, and even write songs for them. And for you mother fuckers who are making it a goal of yours to try to rip us apart for your own selfish reasons, i wish you luck in your other current goals, because you will most effectively fail.

Well i figure since my last post was on people that annoy me, this one will be the same.

There was a person sitting behind me in class today, eating corn nuts for like an hour. and that noise alone just made me want to go insane. But then on top of that i have to listen to this person screw on and off the cap for their pepsi and the sound of them rubbing their hands together, dusting off the flavor powder from their hands. I didn’t learn much in class today, thanks a whole lot. And i’m pretty sure i saw a girl from across the class staring over in disgust at this person, the furrow in her brow and the slight dropping of her jaw gave it away.

I’m at the library again. There is a kid that i can see in a conference room, and i decided i hate him more than anybody i’ve ever hated, and it’s based on nothing more than what i can see from outside his little rat cage. The conference rooms are designed for study groups or for people who need absolute quite. He is in there leaning back in his wooden chair, he is wearing a fox shirt, he is reading a magazine (looks like maybe People magazine) he has got his headphones on that are pink and he has got a little baby ipod (8gb), he is wearing shorts and skater shoes, he has got a goatee, he has a slurpee, he is WEARING HIS SUN GLASSES AT 9:00 AT NIGHT INSIDE THE LIBRARY, he also has a water bottle that he keeps spitting his tobacco chew, i just heard someone in there say ‘hooooooooly shit dude’ like i picture larry the cable guy would say it..Now i’m just going to sit around until i leave and note any other observations…

  • He just heard him burp.
  • He’s got his speaker phone on and is talking to someone now.
  • He is actually wearing cargo camo shorts

while i was walking here, i saw a man in the distance, wearing one of those athletic polo shirts made out of polyester and spandex or something. He was also wearing some athletic shorts and flip flops. He had his headphones on and was walking briskly through campus. The way he was moving his arms looked as though he was playing an invisible conga set to the beat of his foot steps, left right left right left right. ‘ wow, thats an odd way to exercise, does moving your hands like that really help that much?’ i thought to myself. and as i approached even closer I noticed this kid (about my age) wasn’t playing invisible congas, he was bouncing around a bouncy ball.

Well i’m sitting here in the SOU library. There was an acapella group singing outside on the steps, they sounded pretty good. They were singing ‘crazy’ by Gnarls Barkley, which i am rather sick of hearing, so i deducted a few points from their score. There was a lady sitting in front of them taking footage from a small digital camera. I’m picturing how dissapointed she will be once she puts that on her computer and finds the sound quality is unbearable, especially with the wind blowing straight into the speaker.

I’m listnening to the new O’Death album on IMEEM . It’s rather differently produced this time around, they are signed on Kemado records these days, along with Langhorne Slim.  I havn’t seen O’Death live yet, but come november they will be at the Doug Fir in Portland, and you know i wont miss that. They are playing with our friends John + Henry from Hillstomp.

Me and my pal Andrew are heading up to portland tomorrow. We are going to see BOTH Deer Tick and The Felice Brothers! Two of my new-ish favorites. I found this clip of Deer Tick doing Sean Kingstons Beautiful Girls. And if you are a fan of folk music, and you arn’t in love with felice brothers yet, get on it, you can trust my musical opinions, they tell a great story and add a whole lot of wit and charisma.

Sam and I were digging through the camera and found a couple things we thought might be worthy.

at work ‘quit playing games with my heart’ came on the XM radio. The young cast of employees reminised at our love for BSB back in the day. But my boss, who is middle aged didn’t really notice it was playing. The nice thing about XM radio is that i can hit the back button, and play the song over again. So i played it again right after it finished playing, and what made it funny is that it skips to a short commercial before it goes into the song again, so i have a bit of delay time where i can run to a different location than the stereo controls and act like i didn’t do anything. My boss comes into view after it started playing again, and says ‘ didn’t this song just play’ and we all just shrug our shoulders and play the fool. So it played all the way through for the second time. I non-chaulantly head into the back again and hit the back button for the third time. It goes into the commercial and plays one more time. I had to hide in the kitchen because i was laughing uncontrollably. so now it is done playing for the third time… BACK BUTTON ONE MORE TIME. It plays all the way through for the fourth time and my boss finally notices and changes it to rhinna. I’de rather listen to that same BSB song a dozen more times than listen to rhianna even once.

Early in the day, in an act of revenge (she put a peice of tomato in my drink, i didn’t notice, nor did i especially care afterwards, tomatoes are good for the heart.) I put in a shot of vanilla extract into her lemonade. enough to turn it brown. Well,I was sitting eating lunch, so i didn’t witness the next part, but my accomplise did: She walks into the back, opens up the lid to the drink suspisiously, looks inside at her brown lemonade and puts the lid back on and takes a drink. She continues drinking the whole thing. She probably thought it was soda, she’s pretty air headed.

cool things to listen two

October 19, 2008

I’ve obtained a copy of the new blitzen trapper recently. The album is titled Furr, I wasn’t sure if they could top their first release, but it has been done!

I’ve also FINALLY obtained a copy of The Old Believers album. It’s 8 songs, but very unique mixture of sounds for the genre of music they create. They are a boy/girl (man/Woman) duo in the likes of The everybodyfields, but a lot different, just a similar set up of vocal harmonies and instruments. We saw them at pickathon and were pleasantly surprised. They are reside in Portland.

Yet another act from portland. Weinland.Their  album ‘La Lamentor’ is a Gem. Very subtle and refined, yet elborate with plenty of variety from song to song. I’m trying to set them up a show here in Ashland, if you can help, let me know.

Go purchase these albums, they all need money more than the producers of High School the musical 3. And they wont go buy new haircuts with it, they will turn that money into more music and more live shows. so help them out, support small artists.
