Ryan Mclennan

Ryan Mclennan. I was looking through his paintings last night, and i found them to be pretty comical. A reoccuring theme in his painting is this bear figure who is constructed out of , what looks to be, leaves and twigs. The bear is always dead and being demolished by other ‘less superior’ forest animals.

Been listening to a lot of Lefty Frizzell. I’m still on my classic country search. The thing i found difficult, is finding artists who are distinct enough to stand out of the crowd. There were a lot of artists doing the same songs, and playing with the same arrangements, and singing with the same tone. Lefty’s voice is one that stood out to me. Now i gotta get Willie Nelson’s tribute album to Lefty.

no doubt. People like to boost their own self esteem by posting quotes about misc. moral issues, like not being two-faced and being honest and how regret and karma will come find you…. But, arn’t we all a little (or a lot) two faced, tripled faced or sixfaced? One thing i know for sure is that we are all hypocrites. I’m a hypocrite. So are you. We are all nuts and thats what makes things interesting.

Run on Sentence played last night in Ashland. What a pleasant surprise. They left my jaw dropped, Dustin, the singer, has a magnificent beard and pipes the size of a killer great white shark, and the band is well practiced! I’d say keep an eye out on these guys if you havn’t been already.

So, on accident i stumbled across this (mostly)female-fashion website chictopia.  I just signed up so that people can tell me if my outfits are Chic or not. I really enjoyed this girl. I would like her to be my wife strictly based on her apparel.

Maybe i should start a separate blog on girls that i think are adorable?

I haven’t wrote anything significant in here in quite awhile. I’m finishing up school with a history degree. This Term I’m studying Islamic Middle-East and a course on prosopography connected to Abrham lincoln and/or the age of lincoln. I’m also taking my second language, Spanish, and i’m getting mixed reviews with my friends. They dont know if it’s a good or bad thing that my spanish vocabulary is increasing at a steady speed. They are mostly unsure because (of course) i use it to ask people to “show me your stomach” or  call someone ” women with watermelon” (mujer con sandia). My sewing skills have been increasing. I alter a good portion of all my clothes to be friendly to the skinny contours of my fragile body. (that was a weird way to put it) I go “junkin” a lot. My friend and Junkin’ partner Justin calls it Junking, and i thought that was a better name for it, opposed to thrifting. I don’t really play music much anymore. Although, last night we had a nice little session, passing around the guitar, banjo, fiddle, spoons, melodica, washboard and harmonica (sorry neighbors). Been single for 3 or more months. Got some good friends here in ashland now. I feel fairly content. Anyway, back to the less personal…

i wish i had the voice of three girls.
